High Dextran Standards

Dextran is a polymer of anhydroglucose. It is now produced from sucrose by certain lactic acid bacteria of the family lactobacillus. Species include Leuconostoc mesenteroides and Streptococcus mutans. The structure of dextran produced depends not only on the family and species of the bacterium but on the strain. They are separated by fractional precipitation from protein-free extracts using ethanol. Some bacteria coproduce fructans, which can complicate isolation of the dextrans.

Pharmacosmos is the original research manufacturer of Dextran API , but the Dextran APIs produced by our factory have the same high standard.

Wanlong’s Dextran 40 and Dextran 70 have GMP certificates and EUWC, we have the customers all over the world who speak high of our products and we could also produce the Dextran to meet our customers’ special requirement and high Dextran standards.
